Pay transparency is rapidly becoming a compliance requirement, but it should be seen as much more than just a legal obligation. This presentation explores how transparency can be a powerful tool for building a culture of trust, fairness, and equity in the workplace. We will discuss the benefits, including increased employee morale, reduced wage gaps, and improved retention, while also addressing challenges and legal considerations. The presentation will debate how to move beyond compliance and leverage pay transparency as a strategy for long-term organisational success.
Economist by education, with Master studies on International Business and Management, I have been working with Human Resources since the beginning of my professional career. In my rotations in various HR positions within the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group, Danske Bank, Novo Nordisk, Chr Hansen and currently the Ingka Group/IKEA, I had the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of HR activities; from the creation and implementation of HR strategies and OD initiatives to partnering with the business, executing operational HR activities, and everything else in between. My current focus is to further develop the Total Rewards framework of Ingka Group/IKEA to better suit the needs of the many, with a distinct focus on the co-worker experience.
