Sarah’s worked in internal communications (IC) – a newer engagement function at the BMA (the professional association for doctors and medical students in the UK) – for nearly three years. The team is just three, and part of a communications department of over 50. The IC team successfully launched a new intranet on SharePoint in 2016, built within a tight timeline and with a variety of stakeholder requirements to satisfy. 2017 staff survey results saw the intranet voted the number one source of company information – a big win, considering a year earlier it wasn’t even rated by staff as being relevant. Sarah contributed to the build, design, and launch campaign for this intranet which won a UK PR Moment Award in 2017. Sarah hails from a background in communications, publishing and digital media, with international experience spanning Australia, Canada and the UK.
