Born, raised, and educated in the UK before moving to the U.S. in 2002 to complete a soccer scholarship and MBA in Communications and Marketing at Fairfield University, Connecticut. Joined UBS in London in 2005 as a data analyst and in 2006 moved into the press office supporting UBS's Investment Bank. Early communications career shaped by crises including; subprime mortgages, a $2.3bn ‘rouge trading’ incident (the largest fraud in UK history), Libor and FX scandals, a six month occupation of one of UBS's offices by Occupy London protestors, and one of the largest banking restructures of its time. Went on to lead Group-wide and Change Communications and a multi-year cultural change program, as well as UBS's 2015 internal brand relaunch. In 2017 became Head of communications for UBS's wealth management business leading an outstanding global team covering employee communications, media relations, and social media. Married with a three year old son and newborn daughter. Rich is passionate about many things but especially family, friends, human behavior, and playing sports (whenever possible).
